Family, Friends and Supporters:

I would like to thank everybody for your vote and for your support.  We fought the good fight in this race.

Never give up; never stop fighting for what you believe in.  We will press on towards the future with a common goal – less government, lower taxes and transparency in state spending. We need to work together to create a society where people are not reliant on the government for help – but a society where each of us are given our independence from it.

My name is Jason Balaska and I am running for State Representative in the 28th District. We need to get back to a common sense approach in politics where our legislators are committed to working across the aisle with one another, not constantly against each other or voting on the party line.  I am here to serve the residents of the 28th District first and foremost, not any special interest groups.

While you are here on the site, take a look at the “Issues” and “About Jason” pages.  If you would like to contact me, simply go to “Contact Jason” and fill out the form.  You will hear back directly from me – never from anybody on my campaign.

**Please be sure to check out the blog (the link is located on the right hand side of the page).  The Center for Michigan and PBS offered State Rep candidates the opportunity to debate each other so residents of our respective districts would know where each candidate stands on the issues.

My opponent did not respond to PBS for a debate.

For candidates whose opponents would not debate them, PBS and The Center for Michigan set up Candidate Forums where those specific candidates would sit with others who were also running to discuss the issues. The video for the Candidate Forum I participated in is located on the blog!**

If you would like to host a Town Hall meeting (meet & greet), mouse over “Get Involved” and go to “Volunteer”.  Fill out the information and select “I would like to host a meet & greet” from the drop down menu.
